Abstract

The invention comprises tris-(pyridylhydrazones) of the formula: <FORM:0902591/IV (b)/1> in which R is a pyridyl or alkyl-, alkoxy- or halogen-substituted pyridyl radical, the said substituents being attached to 1 or 2 of the carbon atoms of the pyridyl radical, their acid addition salts and the preparation thereof by reacting triaminoguanidine with pyridine aldehyde in a molar ratio of 1 : 3. An intravenous solution of tris-(pyridyl-4-hydrazone) hydrochloride showed a hypotensive effect.
