Abstract

901,472. Binary subtractors. ERICSSON TELEPHONES Ltd. April 20, 1961 [April 27, 1960], No. 14676/60. Class 106(1). A half-subtractor comprises two magnetic cores 10, 11 having two input windings each 12-15, reset windings 16, 17 and output windings 18-20, the input windings being arranged in opposition on each core and in series in pairs to inputs X, Y so that X sets 10 and YX<SP>1</SP> sets 11 for subsequent resetting to give outputs at the difference, and difference and borrow, outputs respectively, the other two input combinations setting neither core. Fig. 3 illustrates a minor modification in which each core has only a single output winding.
