Abstract

901,292. Silver electro-plating. COMPAGNIE FRANCAISE THOMSON-HOUSTON. April 8, 1960 [May 12, 1959], No. 12648/60. Drawings to Specification. Class 41. Metal surfaces to be coated with silver to render the surface resistant to oxidation at high temperatures, are given an undercoat of rhodium into which the silver topcoat will not interdiffuse. For example, ferro/nickel/cobalt alloys is given a coating of rhodium of 1 to 2 Á thick, and then with silver 5 Á thick, both formed by electrodeposition.
