Abstract

899,444. Boxes. SKARSTEDT A.B., R. July 15, 1960, No. 24721/60. Class 18. A packing case having side walls 2 provided with extension flaps 3 and side walls 4 provided with extension flaps 5, which themselves have side extension flaps 6, is formed from a single blank of corrugated board &c. the walls 4 having cut-outs 11 to provide hand-holds and the flaps 3 having notches 12 which correspond to the cut outs 11 when the flaps 3 are bent into position. The case is assembled from the blank by bending up the sides 2 until they are perpendicular to the bottom 1 then by bending the flaps 3 inwardly until they are perpendicular to the sides 2 and finally by bending over the flaps 5, 6 until the former lie parallel to flaps 3 and the latter lie parallel to the sides 2. The flaps 5, 6 are provided with tongues 7, 9 to engage with slots 8, 10 in the bottom 1. Side walls 2 and flaps 6 may be provided with ventilation holes 13, 14.
