899,330. Counting-apparatus; revolutiondirection indicating. WATT, F. P. Oct. 18, 1960 [Oct. 20, 1959], No. 35430/59. Classes 106 (1) and 106 (3). A meter with counting mechanism 1 for indicating flow has a tell-tale 4 movable into a window 6 in the enclosure 2 upon reversal of motion of a catch member 3 driven in dependence on the flow. So long as the wheel 3 in the counting-train turns clockwise the toothed sector 4 is held clear of the window 6, but should it reverse long enough for the sector 4 to drop clear thereof, the sector 4 will show through the window 6 until it is reset after opening the enclosure. The tell-tale may be a body slidable in a straight path under the influence of gravity or spring pressure.
