[Also in Groups XXX and XXXII] The side walls, the roof and the floor of a tubular railway vehicle body (see Group XXXII) are all formed of a sandwich of inner and outer layers of synthetic resin-bonded glass fibres secured to an intermediate layer of light density material, e.g. cork, balsa wood, foamed plastics including foamed polyvinyl chloride, foamed polystyrene or foamed polyurethane, expanded ebonite or expanded rubber or cotton, or glass-fibre or metal foil in the form of a honeycomb or other open structure. If the body is used to carry food, the internal surfaces of the body may have textile fabric rolled and set thereinto. Specification 849,982 is referred to.
