Abstract
The invention comprises polyphenyleneboronous acid, a compound obtainable by reacting a mixture of diphenylboron chloride and aluminium chloride with the assistance of heat, removing benzene from the reaction mixture by distillation, and adding water to the residue to form a hydrated product which is afterwards separated and identified as the acid.
