Abstract

895,294. Anti-skid devices for brakes. DUNLOP RUBBER CO. Ltd. Sept. 19, 1958 [Oct. 15, 1957], No. 32117/57. Class 103 (1). A rotary inertia assembly 1 as described in Specifications 861,189 and 868,822 is removably mounted in a fixed member 8 housed in a stationary wheel-axle, and to prevent loss of fluid from the conduits 17, 19 and 22 when the cylindrical end 14 of the assembly 1 is removed from the interior flange 22 of the member 8, a spring-urged sleeve 24 is arranged to follow the end 14 during removal. Outward movement of the sleeve 24 is limited by the abutment 31 on the rod 30 and in its extreme position the sealing members 32, 33, 34 isolate the conduits from each other and prevent fluid loss.
