Abstract

892,040. Paint scrapers. LINS, P. July 18, 1960 [Aug. 10, 1959; Nov. 23, 1959], No. 25001/60. Class 61. [Also in GroupXlV] A paint scraper comprises a blade of rectangular shape adjustably secured in a holder consisting of two flat sides which are joined together along one of their edges, the sides being formed with slots for the passage of adjusting bolts which pass through the holes in the blade so that the extent the blade protrudes can be adjusted. As shown the holder consists of two rectangular sides 8, 9 connected along their upper edge by a substantially oval shaped hand grip 10. Sets of slots 11, 12 are located in each side of the holder. Bolts 13 are inserted through the slots and through corresponding holes in the blade and are tightened at the other side by butterfly nuts 13a. The blade 1 is sharpened to form reversible cutting edges 2, 3. In a modification the scraper is provided with an upright handle, the holder being moulded in two halves which are subsequently joined together.
