Apparatus for distributing material contained in a lorry body 10 comprises supporting bars 3 having pointed ends 2 for fitting over the edge of the tailboard 1 and a wall 6 mounted on the bars and provided with detachable chains 7. As shown in Fig. 2 delivery of material is assisted by a flap 20 which is oscillated by means of a handle 21. In a modification a rotatable agitator is provided.
