Abstract
A plant growth regulant composition comprises a surface-active wetting agent and a sydnone selected from the class consisting of N-substituted sydnones in which the N-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic substituents and N-substituted-C-substituted sydnones in which the N-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic substituents and the C-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic, halo and nitro substituents. Among many sydnones exemplified are N-phenyl-sydnone, N-orthotolyl-sydnone, N-phenyl-C-methyl-sydnone, N-phenyl-C-ethylsydnone, and N-phenyl-C-n-butyl-sydnone.ALSO:A fungicidal and plant growth regulant composition comprises a surface-active wetting agent and a sydnone selected from the class consisting of N-substituted sydnones in which the N-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic substituents and N-substituted-C-substituted sydnones in which the N-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic and aromatic substituents and the C-substituent is selected from the group consisting of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic, halo and nitro substituents. Among many sydnones exemplified are N-phenyl-sydnone, N-orthotolyl - sydnone, N - phenyl - C - methyl-sydnone, N - phenyl - C - ethyl - sydnone, N-phenyl-C-n-butyl-sydnone.
