Abstract

888,842. Electric floor heating. FILKIN, D.R. Sept. 11, 1958 [Aug. 3, 1957; Nov. 27, 1957; Jan. 23, 1958], Nos. 24670/57, 36942/57 and 2253/58. Class 39(3) [Also in Group XXIII] A floor is heated by electric resistance cable accommodated between the edges of the floor boards 10, either in an extra deep groove 22, Fig: 4 of the usual tongue and groove joint or in a separate rebate 15, Fig. 2 covered by a lip 14. Figure 6 shows a deeper lip 24. The ends of the boards may be grooved to provide for a continuous length of heating cable wound sinuously in the floor.
