Abstract

888,267. Hand-actuating devices for switches. ELEKTROSCHALTGERATE GORLITZ VEB. April 24, 1958 [Feb. 7, 1958], No. 13030/58. Class 38 (5). A switch adapted to be mounted side by side with another similar switch has a push rod 1 having a lateral projection 1a the push rod being selectively rotatable through 180 degrees about its axis so that depending upon the relative angular positions of two adjacent rods, there is either a small (Fig. 2) or large (Fig. 3) distance between the rods, so that in the latter case a signal lamp 6 can be arranged between the rods. To enable switches to be operated in tandem, the rear of the casing has an opening 8 in the axis of the rod, for receiving a pin 9 acting on the rear push rod. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown), the projection extends parallel to and to one side of the push-rod axis.
