Class 64(3) A heat exchanger comprises conduits 8 of crescent-shaped cross-section extending through a shell 1, and a fluid such as water flows within the shell and over the conduits 8 in heat exchange relation to another fluid such as hot gas flowing through the conduits. In the apparatus described each of the conduits 8 is made up of two curved plates. The arrangement is such that the heat exchanger may be readily dismantled for cleaning.
