To allow of a digger tooth 15 of an earthexcavating equipment being firmly secured on a tooth-supporting shank 16 secured to the excavator member of the equipment the shank 16 has a protuberance 20 about which is deformed at 22 a thin walled section 21 of the tooth when it is positioned on the shank.
