A securing device, comprises a blank of sheet material formed with a slit 3 extending inwardly from one edge of the blank into an aperture 2 formed thereon, the aperture being so formed that the edge thereof at least on each side of the slit constitutes an inwardly projecting protuberance 6, 7, the arrangement being such that the edges of the mouth of a bag or like wrapping may be inserted into the aperture and securely held thereon. The blank may bear any desired information and to facilitate handling may be stored in rolls provided with fracture lines between adjacent devices or the devices may be stored in stacks superposed upon each other. In order to facilitate handling of such a stack the stack may be lightly sprayed with an adhesive on one or more of its vertical faces. Specification 883,772 is referred to.
