883,640. Power-lift mechanisms. ADROLIC ENGINEERING CO. Ltd., and SMITH, D. M. July 15, 1959 [July 18, 1958], No. 23145/58. Class 79(1). A detachable power lift attachment for motor driven road / argricultural vehicles comprises a frame adapted to be attached to the rear of the vehicle, a transversely extending crank shaft journalled in the frame and fastly carrying a crank arm connected to a hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly pivoted to the frame, a pair of drag arms being loosely mounted on the crank shaft, and an upper drag link pivoted to the frame. The frame comprises the cross members 10 and 12 and brackets 11. The lift arms 19 are fast with the crank shaft 17 and may be connected to the drag arms 18, 18a by coupling devices 21, one of which carries a screw 21b threaded in a sleeve in the lift arm 19 to provide vertical adjustment of the lift arm relative to the drag arm, and the other of which having hinged latch devices to secure the drag arm against lateral or vertical movement relative to the lift arm. The crank shaft 20 is connected to the cylinder ram 25, the cylinder being connected to a manually operated pump 27 by a pipe 26. The pump is mounted on forwardly extending brackets attached to the frame which also carry the upper lift arm 15.
