Class 52(2) Complementary seat and base frame tubes 10, 11 of a vehicle seat are embraced at the front and rear by a guide plate 12 formed at each side with a centre stop 13a and end stops 13 which locate balls 14 between the tubes and the plate. The plates are attached to the tubes 10. As shown in Fig. 4, the balls 17 run in short grooves in tubes 15, 16 which are embraced by plates 18.
