882,954. Rubber springs; motor vehicle suspension. CRANES (DEREHAM) Ltd. May 27, 1960, No. 18841/60. Classes 108(2) and 108(3). A flexible link 22, Fig. 1, interconnecting the trailing arms 14, 15 in a vehicle suspension system comprises an elongated body 23 of rubber, &c having bushes 24, 25 inserted at opposite ends and against which the rubber is compressed to prevent relative movement between the bushes and the rubber. Pins 26 pass through the bushes for attachment to brackets 28 on the ends of the spring 18 on the rear arm 15 or to extension plates 21 on the end of the forward trailing arm 14, metal clamping straps 29 enclosing the ends of the rubber body and held by bolts 31, 32 passing through the rubber compress the rubber over the bushes and prevent relative sliding.
