Abstract

881,676. Rotary metal wool pad. BRILLO MANUFACTURING CO. Inc. Feb. 2, 1960 [Feb. 9, 1959], No. 3628/60. Class 28 (2). To make a steel wool pad 42 for attachment to the bristles 40 of a rotated brush the pad is shaped in dies, Fig. 8, with a centre hole, and welded along radial lines by welding ribs 53 with meeting centres as shown to provide a firm conical pad centre for attachment to the brush bracket 41 by a screw 13. When the pad has been worn it may be reversed and the centre pressed back through into a reversed cone for attachment in the same way. Specification 804,354 is referred to.
