881,251. Bobbins &c. AGFA A.G. April 29, 1959 [April 29, 1958], No. 14663/59. Class 120(3) [Also in Group XX] A roll film spool (Fig. 1a) comprises a pair of flanges 2 joined by a central core 3 having at least one longitudinally-extending wedge shaped axial slot, 7, 8 passing through the core and mounted within the slot parallel to the axis a resilient radially deformable cylindrical film-end clamping element 6 such as a helical spring of metal and/or plastic or a solid resilient cylinder. Two similar oppositely directed slots may be provided as in Fig. 2 or abutments 5 (Fig. 1a) may be provided to prevent the clamping element from falling out, the film end being inserted through the narrower end 7 of the slot.
