Abstract

880,427. Gas filters. DRAGER, O. H. Dec. 2, 1958 [Dec. 2, 1957], No. 38908/58. Class 8(2). A gas filter element is formed by folding concertina-wise a layer 1, Fig. 1, of filter medium e.g., paper faced on one or both sides with a layer 2 of greater porosity e.g. stiff paper, or a grating of metal wool, cotton or plastic ; the so folded element is then folded or connected to a similar element to form one or more V-shaped troughs 12, Fig. 3, and a series of such troughs are sealingly mounted in an open-ended box 13 having wedgeshaped spacer elements 16.
