879,674. Capacitors. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. March 26, 1959 [April 1, 1958], No. 10590/59. Addition to 854,177. Class 37. In a capacitor formed from a metal strip 1, Fig. 1, coated with varnish dielectric 2 leaving a bare metal strip along one edge, the varnished portion being in turn metal coated 3. A thin line 4 is engraved in the varnish close to one edge of the strip along the length of the strip, the underlying metal being either etched or separated by a hot pointer tool away 5 leaving two electrically separated metal inner stripes 1, 1B, the gap 5 being piled with varnish and the narrow metal stripe being subsequently linked with the outer sprayed electrode after rolling by metal spraying. The bare metal edge and the sprayed linked edge form the respective terminals of the capacitor.
