Class 40(3) The electromagnet controlling the letter printing/figure printing positions of the type wheel of a teleprinter is connected in a circuit including contacts operated by the received pulse-code combinations and a pair of contacts associated respectively with the printing positions the arrangement being such that in response to the start signal the type wheel is shifted to the letter printing positions if it is not already in such position, no action occurring if the type wheel is in the letter printing positions.
