875,148. Suction cleaner nozzles. BYLOCH ELECTRIC Ltd. June 8, 1960 [June 8, 1959], No. 19582/59. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner nozzle has fixed to the underside of its upper body portion 1, Fig. 2, an inverted trough 2 with a suction air outlet aperture 3 in register with that of the body and with an outlet 4 connected to a suction duct 7 and serving to house a horizontal rotatable brush 19 carried at each end by bearings 18 slidably mounted in slots 17 cut in end plates 21 of the trough 2 and driven through gearing 21, 15 by floor contacting nozzle supporting wheels 14; the mouth of the nozzle body and that of the trough being closed by a detachable plate 22 having slots 26, 25, Fig. 3, through which the wheels 14 and brush bristles project. A third nozzle supporting wheel 27 projects through a slot 28 in the mouth plate 22 and this together with wheels 14 and gearing 21, 15 lies outside the dustladen air traversing the nozzle.
