874,838. Rotary engines and pumps. BOWMAN, J. A. H. Nov. 21, 1957 [Aug. 21, 1956], No. 25578/56. Class 110 (2). In a rotary engine or pump of the nutatory piston type the piston 1, 2 is coupled to its shaft 23 by means of a rod 15 and a resilient coupling comprising a spring- loaded roller bearing 28, 29, 30. The dividing plate 33 of the engine is held in position by two spaced bars 40 secured to the cover 12. The engine may be energized by combustion products externally generated or supplied with compressed-air, steam or water.
