Abstract

874,803. Bottle crates. BILLINGTON, J. H. Dec. 3, 1959 [Oct. 17, 1958], No. 33159/58. Class 18. A bottle crate of substantially rectangular form has opposed parallel walls 10, 11 and 12, 13 with undulations to facilitate stacking in contiguous side-byside relationship, and resilient upstanding dollies separating the bottles 15, see Fig. 2. Each dolly has a body 19 to contact four bottles 15 and a head 20 projecting through the base 18 of the crate. Alternatively, the dollies may be connected to the base by a concave end suction head, or they may be hollow with a flange resting upon the inner surface of the base to give a cushioning effect for the bottle bases.
