Class 123(1) A liquid level gauge 4 for a storage tank 8 comprises a union 5 which is screwed into the tank 8 and carries a replaced draw-off cock 9 and a transparent sight tube 13 which, with an enclosing slotted metal protective tube 14, has its lower end clamped around the tubular extension 16 of a cut-off valve 17 which is branched radially from the union 5. The upper ends of the tubes 13, 14, closed by an apertured protective cap 21, are supported by a metal plate 22.
