An endless track for a vehicle fitted with pneumatic tyres comprises shoes consisting of transverse channel members 10 stiffened by angle bars 11 welded there. Short tyre gripping rods 12 may be welded to angle bars. For twin wheels, folded plate 15 is welded to the centre of the shoe and has a Vee-shaped inner end containing a filling piece 16. The connecting links between adjacent shoes pivot on bolts 18 passing through the plate 15 and comprise solid members 13a and members 13 formed of two side pieces connected by welded top and bottom plates 21, the solid members 13a fitting between the side members 13 and being bolted thereto by bolts 22 passing through the plates 21. Alternative positions of the holes for bolts 21 may be provided for length adjustment of the endless track. Grouser strips of square cross-section may be laid diagonally across the channel member 10 and welded thereto. For single wheels the central connecting link arrangement is replaced by two similar lateral arrangements, Fig. 3. A tool tensioning the track whilst fitting it to the vehicle, Fig. 4, comprises a pair of clips 25 which are pressed against two channel members 10 and may be located by dowels 27 and a pair of guiding clips 30 all of which clips slide upon a pair of guide rods 29 which also forms a support for intermediate channel members, and a pair of tensioning chains 26 for drawing the clips 27 together.
