A case such as a briefcase has a support for a separate and smaller container, the support and container having co-operative fastening means for retaining the smaller container in place. The briefcase described has an openended compartment formed by a sheet 3, a portfolio having a fastening member 8 co-. operating with a member 6 mounted on the sheet 3. In alternative forms the compartment may be closed at one end or may open at the top or bottom of the case.
