Abstract

871,650. Grab buckets. TAYLOR & SONS (MANCHESTER) Ltd., F. Oct. 27, 1959 [July 29, 1958], No. 24317/58. Class 78 (4). The buckets 17 of a grab are pivoted about pins 16 on a frame 10 by a horizontally-acting hydraulic ram 29, 30 pivoted to the buckets at 19. Simultaneous movement of the buckets is effected by arms 21 pivoted on shafts 19 and having pin-and-slot connections 22, 23 with the buckets. In various modifications (not shown) the ram is carried by frame 10, or a pair of simultaneously-operating rams are provided. Specification 680,759 is referred to.
