Abstract
867,244. Constructional toys, VIKEN, R. June 24, 1958 [June 27, 1957], No. 20270/58. Class 132(3). A constructional toy element 2 comprises aligned male and female parts on opposite faces the male part 1 being positioned on a boss 3 having a hollow interior 4 and forming the female part. As shown, the element 2 is reinforced by ribs 8 which terminate at a distance from the element's ends to allow the ends to be bent up or down. Alternatively, the elements may be thicker so that ribs are not required. Either or both of the interfitting male and female parts may be tapered to allow a more positive interlock. 'The elements may be made from flexible synthetic plastic material. Wheels may be attached to the elements by means of bearings having a similar fastener system.
