Abstract

864,088. Front end suspension for tractors. CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO. Feb. 27, 1959 [Oct, 28, 1958], No. 6849/59. Class 108(2). The track frames 15 of a tractor bear at their forward ends 14 on respective ends of an equalizer bar 13 on which bears the front end of the main tractor frame 10. The equalizer bar 13 is formed of front and rear plates 24 joined by top and bottom plates 22 and 23. Bars 30, 31, disposed respectively adjacent each plate 24, are rigidly connected with the tractor main frame by blocks 27, 28. A rubber block 33 bonded to plates 34, 35, is disposed between one of the bars 30 and a V-shaped plate 26 welded to the adjacent plate 24 of the equalizer bar 13. A second rubber block 33 :is similarly disposed between the other bar 30 and a V-shaped plate 26 welded to the other plate 24.
