863,120. Photographic silver halide emulsions. KODAK Ltd. May 7, 1957 [May 7, 1956], No. 14444/57. Class 98(2) An unhardened gelatino-silver halide emulsion contains one or more developing agents and a water-insoluble wax. In a preferred form tanning developing agents are present but non- tanning agents may be used in addition: six of the former and five of the latter are quoted. A pinion 18 drivingly connected to the two output shafts of a differential mechanism, which in the preferred embodiment is a friction gearing. In a modification for contact printing, the negative is held in fixed relationship to the framework of the apparatus, between belt 14 and sheet 20, and the apparatus is illuminated from above.
