Abstract

861,863. Two-part couplings. M.T.I. LE MATERIEL TECHNIQUE INDUSTRIEL. May 7, 1957 [May 9, 1956], No. 14530/57. Class 38 (1). Plug and socket contacts make both internal and external contact with each other by providing a contact 1 having a bore 2 and a frusto-conical tip which cooperates with a contact having a frusto-conical pin 6 and a resilient contact secured thereto having four spring arms 4, the pin 6 entering bore 2 and arms 4 engaging contact 1 on assembly. Each contact is secured on insulation by nuts 3, 7 screwing thereon, the outward movement of arms 4 being restricted by the wall of the recess in an insulating block 9 in which the contact is housed.
