Abstract

859,932. Control of A.C. motors. FICHTEL & SACHS A.G. July 2, 1958 [Oct. 18, 1957], No. 21225/58. Drawings to Specification. Class 38 (3). A mobile refrigerating installation comprises a high-frequency generator and motors for driving the compressors and fans, a change-over switch being provided whereby the motors may be connected alternatively to the generator or to a mains supply at lower frequency. The motor windings are pole changeable so that substantially the same speed of operation is maintained whether the motors are supplied from the generator or from the mains. If the two sources have different voltages, the motor windings are likewise adapted for operation at the two voltages.
