859,824. Typewriters &c. OLIVETTI & C. S.p.A. ING. C. May 6, 1959 [May 10, 1958(2)], No. 15487/59. Class 100(4) A type bar head 7 comprises a detachable type member 8 slotted at 9. Elements such as pins 13, 14 extending between flanking portions 15 of the type member 8 engage counterelements 11, 12 formed as shoulders on the type. bar head 7 the counterelement 11 being yieldable. The shoulders 11, 12 and if desired an intermediate projection 19 engage the frontal and side edges of the slot 9. Modified forms of elements and counterelements are illustrated and in one form the type member 8 is formed of a number of individual types.
