Abstract

857,459. Magnetic tests. TESLA NARODNI PODNIK. Aug. 21, 1957, No. 26384/57. Class 37 To measure the intensity of a magnetic field a coil 1 is fed with an alternating current so that it vibrates in the field. The vibrations are transmitted by a rod 2 mounted in rubber bearings 3 to a pilzo-electric crystal 4 the output voltage of which is a measure of field intensity. The A.C. supply frequency is chosen to be the same as the natural frequency of vibration of the assembly. In the partial construction shown in Fig. 2, coil 1 rod 2 mounted in elastic bearings 3 and the crystal 4 cemented to a carrier 5 are all mounted in a flat carrier 6.
