856,661. Clip fastenings; screw fastenings. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. May 7, 1958 [May 23, 1957], No. 14682/58. Class 44. A fastener device for securing, e.g. a liner 14 to a structural member 12 attached to ar aeroplane body 10 consists of a shank 20 with a laterally enlarged head 22 to engage an open-ended slot, &c. 22 in a strip of resilient metal which is bent to provide a yieldable loop 32, 34 having a terminal portion 36; the latter bears normally on the rear face of the head 22 but may be made to engage the member 12 as shown. The shank is internally threaded to receive a screw 24 for attachment of the liner 14. The shank 20, head 22 and screw 24 may be made of non-metallic material, e.g. nylon.
