Class 98(1) To enable identification and like marks to be recorded in indirect radiography, a photofluorographic camera 4 having a plane secondary radiation grid 13 behind which is a cylindrically curved fluorescent screen 14 convex towards the optical system of the camera is provided between grid 13 and a window 19 in the screen 14 with a drum 16 bearing markings on its curved wall and rotatable about its cylinder axis which is disposed parallel to that of the screen, that portion of the drum periphery which is nearest the film lying substantially in the plane of the screen and a light source located within the drum being controlled by the X-ray apparatus so that the desired marking is photographed simultaneously with the fluorescent screen image. As shown, the camera assembly is employed in conjunction with a tomographic apparatus and the drum is set by a receiver 20 on the drum shaft and controlled by a transmitter 12 operated in accordance with the height of the tomographic section which is adjusted by means of a motor 11 driving threaded rod 8. A remote control electrical system may be provided for the motor and receiver 20. Alternatively the drum may be adjusted by a handwheel.
