Abstract
852,454. Moulding hollow concrete elements. PAKOZDI, J., and SABO, B. Feb. 5, 1959, No. 4092/59. Class 87(2). A mould comprises a base, a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls removably secured to the base and cone which are carried by the end walls without penetrating them. The base 12 is recessed at 14 to receive lugs on the bottoms of side posts 18 to which the sides 20 and ends 22 of the mould are fixed. Strips 22, 25 on the inner faces of the end walls form cradles for hollow cores 28. To mould a hollow concrete element 40, a layer of concrete is poured on the base, the cores are fitted, and strips 32 are nailed across the ends of the cone to prevent them from floating on the concrete, the remainder of which is then poured in. To facilitate their removal the cores are covered with rubber sheeting 36.
