An electrical water heater comprises an assembly of superimposed water chambers b formed of parallel sheets of metal connected at alternate ends e and sealed along their edges, a number of flat electrical heating elements g disposed between these chambers, upper and lower clamping plates h between which the complete assembly is mounted and terminal strips k connecting the heating elements to a terminal block l disposed on the upper clamping plate.
