Abstract

850,681. Mounting lamps on vehicles. NEALE & SONS Ltd., J. Jan. 2, 1957 [Oct. 22, 1955], No. 30246/55. Classes 75(3) and 75(4). A flexible pad 3 for attaching a lamp cover 2 to a road vehicle is formed on the upper surface with a boundary rim 13 which can be received in a weathertight manner inside a correspondingly shaped rim 14 of the lamp cover 2 and on the under surface with a periphreal flange 12 which can bed in a weather-tight manner against the bodywork of the vehicle. The pad has lateral reinforcements 6 which serve to support a base 7 on which is mounted a lampholder 8. The cover 2 is secured to an arch member 15 carried by the base 7 and has fore and aft windows 1.
