[Also in Group XXVII] An oil burner 2 is ignited by spark electrodes 3 the ends of which converge and then diverge to form a throat 4 which is disposed outside the oil spray. The spark passes at the throat 4 and is carried forward into the oil spray by the flow of combustion air.
