Abstract
847,365. Goggles. JARDINE, A. W. Nov. 26, 1956 [Aug. 24, 1955], No. 24397/55. Class 97(1) A device for obviating or reducing glare comprises a shield to be mounted in front of the eyes in the manner of spectacles and having one or more slit like aperatures which extend across both eyes (Fig. 1) except for a possible bar or bars 22, Fig. 3, across the same close to the nose, the total width of which slit in a vertical direction is small enough to effectually limit glare by cutting off light rays which would enter the eye from directions above or below a narrow zone in the direction in which vision is required, the slit or slits being long enough in a horizontal direction to allow full width of vision to both eyes. Specifications 401,083 and 640,689 are referred to.
