845,931. Retractive switches. ROBERTS, G. T. Oct. 31, 1958 [Nov. 1, 1957], No. 34180/57. Class 38 (5). [Also in Groups XXXI and XXXVIII] The stop light of a bicycle is controlled by a switch comprising a rectangular rubber block 1, mounted on the brake lever 4 by means of an aperture 3 and carrying a metal contact strip 5 in another aperture 2, this strip being pressed into engagement with the lever 4 when the latter is gripped, to complete the stop-light circuit through this lever, and being restored by the resilience of the block 1. The strip 5 may be withdrawn from the aperture 2 and inserted into the aperture 3 to make a permanent connection with the lever 4. The switch may have several strips 5 to control a number of circuits.
