Abstract

844,131. Roller conveyers. SPODIG, Ltd. Sept. 22, 1958 [Sept. 26, 1957], No. 30209/58. Class 78 (1). A power-driven permanent magnet roller conveyer includes at least two adjacent rollers 1 of magnetically soft material which are carried by supports 3, 4 of soft magnetic material and are magnetized by permanent magnets 7 inserted in recesses 6 of truncated conical shape in the supports adjacent the end faces of the rollers, the arrangement being such that adjacent rollers are of opposite polarity and the supports form part of the magnetic circuit. The recesses are covered by rings 8 of non-magnetic material and the ends of the rollers are surrounded by 9 of similar material which may be profiled. The axles 2 of the rollers are of non-magnetic material.
