Abstract

843,107. Mudguard stays. B. & T. (ESSEX) Ltd., and BRANDON, A. Oct. 3, 1957 [July 3, 1956], No. 20616/56. Class 136(1). Apparatus for mounting mudguards on bicycles and other vehicles comprises a pair of stays 4, 5 whose inner ends are adapted for attachment to the vehicle and outer ends with ferrules 20 each having a single inwardly projecting protuberence 21 which can be passed through an aperture in a transverse bridge-piece 18, 19 supporting the mudguard 1 and rotated with the ferrule to lock it in the aperture. The ferrule is plastic moulding. It may be closed at one end and is a push fit on the stay. The protuberence on the ferrule is a push fit in the aperture of the bridgepiece. Specification 791,955 is referred to.
