Class 20(2) A ladder comprises circular rungs 4 Fig. 3 the ends of which pass through holes in box section upright 1 and are swaged over at the outer ends, ribs 2 on the inside faces of the uprights 1 engaging in grooves 5 on the rungs to prevent rotation. Alternatively the ribs may be on the rungs and vice versa. In another embodiment, Fig. 13 the treads 15 of the rungs fit into gaps in parallel ribs 2 on the uprights.
