Abstract

840,833. Lamp-holders. LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. Feb. 21, 1958 [Feb. 21, 1957; March 14, 1957], No. 5799/58. Class 38(1). A holder for a fluorscent lamp comprises a horning 1 of transparent thermo-plastic material incorporating a contact carrier 2 of non-flexible heat resistant material such as a synthetic resin which has spring contact members 5 to receive the lamp pins 6 when the safety disc 8 is turned through 90 degrees. The disc 8 may of transparent thermoplastic material and constructed to prevent narrowing of the slot 7, under pressure of spring contacts 5 by providing it with a reinforcing metal yoke 12. Alternatively it may be made of a rigid heat resisting glass such as silicate glass.
